‘Get Moving!’ Facilitators Guide

This Get Moving! Facilitators Guide can be used by at least one staff member of an organisation to engage everyone, from directors to support staff, programme officers to senior management, as equal participants in an internal process that strengthens and achieve higher quality VAW prevention work.

As VAW prevention work affects the wellbeing of women and their families, it is responsible for organisations working in this field to engage in an internal process that will investigate any harmful attitudes and practices, and elevate their work to generate transformative impact in preventing violence.

As such, this facilitators guide is designed to guide self-reflection and self-discovery to increase passion and commitment to their work, and to collaboratively build a positive organisational culture that will support a broader VAW prevention movement.

Included are tools and guidance, including exercises and activities, to facilitate this transformative internal process within a VAW prevention organisation.
