Prevention Collaborative Mentors join the Violence against Children (VAC) Winter School

In early December, 8 members of the Prevention Collaborative joined the VAC Winter School hosted by the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

The Winter School, supported by the Global Partnership to End Violence against Children, aimed to increase participants’ understanding of the newly launched INSPIRE framework to prevent childhood violence and discuss issues around programme design, scale up and adaptation.

Six of the Prevention Collaborative’s Mentors from Argentina, Jordan, Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, and the UK who joined the course were able to shape dialogue with country participants from Canada, South Africa, the Philippines, Honduras, Tanzania, and Uganda on early intervention and prevention programming, with a special emphasis on the intersections between childhood violence and violence against women.
