Guidance for DFID Country Offices on Preventing and Responding to VAW and VAC
This is a brief guidance note prepared by DFID of the UK Government to inform their country offices on the intersections between violence against women and violence against children. It consists of definitions on VAW and VAC and summarises key evidence on the intersections between these two forms of violence. It then provides a framework to work towards addressing these intersections to prevent violence and discusses opportunities for prevention. This guidance note also consists of some case studies based on DFID’s research programme on violence against women and their children.
