Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Resource Guide

Primarily targeted at the IDB and WBG staff, and as well as other development actors with little or no experience addressing VAWG, this guide provides key information regarding VAWG, with practical implications for programming, policies and legislation.

The resource guide contains key information regarding the characteristics and consequences of VAWG, including key definitions and the needs of survivors. It offers guidance on integrating VAWG prevention within a range of development programs, and key principles on working with survivors.

With sector-specific briefs, the resource guide caters to development professionals across sectors on integrating VAWG prevention at policy, institutional and community level, specific to each sector. There is some information regarding lessons learnt in previous VAWG efforts across multiple sectors.

The appendices of the resource guide contain manuals, guidelines, additional readings, and suggested indicators that are useful for development programming to address VAWG.
